Claude Code logo Slowave gives Claude Code a memory that carries across sessions. Decisions, constraints and procedures stay on your machine and come back when they matter.

What you get

  • Slowave’s memory tools appear in Claude Code through MCP.
  • Setup adds the Slowave server to Claude Code’s user-level MCP list in ~/.claude.json.
  • Setup adds Slowave’s instructions to ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md. They tell Claude Code when to recall, save and report on memory.
  • No manual paste is needed.

Set up

1

Install Slowave

3

Run setup

To configure only Claude Code, run:
Or run slowave setup to connect every agent it finds.
4

Restart Claude Code

Restart so it loads the server and instructions.

Check that it works

Open Claude Code and start a coding task. The slowave_* tools should appear in its tool list. From a terminal, run:
It shows which agents it detected and whether the background service is healthy. Run slowave stats to see recorded sessions, or slowave dashboard to browse them in your browser.

Good to know

  • Setup detects Claude Code when the ~/.claude/ folder exists.
  • Slowave runs on macOS, Linux and Windows.
  • Slowave keeps memory on your machine. Recalled context is still sent to the model like any other prompt text.

Troubleshooting

Run slowave status --services to check the background service. Then restart Claude Code.
Run slowave setup --client claude-code again. This refreshes the instructions in ~/.claude/CLAUDE.md.
Add the server to ~/.claude.json yourself, then restart Claude Code:
